White Shed by Atelier 111

Situated on the outskirts of Opatov, the new workshop building within an agricultural compound primarily serves the maintenance of large farm machinery. Additionally, it includes amenities for compound employees, encompassing changing rooms, day spaces, and sanitary facilities. The architectural design incorporates elements reminiscent of the area’s typical agricultural structures, while the trapezoidal metal sheet cladding aligns with the neighboring biogas plant. A distinctive truss beam forms a linear skylight along the roof ridge, constructed with translucent profiles, allowing the truss structure to be visible in both the skylight and side walls. This design merges functionality with a contextual aesthetic in the agricultural setting.
