Located in Sad Janka Kráľa park, right next to the SNP Bridge, Café Ferdinand brings new life to a 1982 modernist pavilion designed by Ferdinand Konček. The building has been thoughtfully renewed by studený architekti, Peter Štec, and GRAU as part of a city-led initiative to revitalise public spaces in Bratislava. The renovation restores the transparency and lightness of the original design while introducing a new public function that reconnects the pavilion with the park. The project was recognised with the CE ZA AR 2025 award in the Phenomena of Architecture category for its sensitive balance between heritage and contemporary use.
