Perched on an incline in Wielkopolska, Poland, UGO architecture has crafted a crescent-shaped summer residence near a serene lake. Embraced by the local pine trees, the 120-meter wooden terrace seamlessly merges with the living room. The structure’s adaptability to changing light and weather integrates it harmoniously into the surrounding Polish forest landscape. UGO prioritized lakeside views and preserving trees for this project. Steel and wood dominate the exterior, with corrugated sheets ensuring longevity and easy maintenance. The play of sunlight on the façade mirrors tree bark textures. Oversized gutters with unique gargoyles channel water for plant irrigation, enhancing the building’s eco-friendliness. A central chimney consolidates ventilation and fireplace exhaust, while the elevated terrace prioritizes communion with nature, defining the dwelling as more of a terrace-centric abode than a house with a terrace.
