Kindergarten Nová Ruda by Petr Stolín Architekt

The newly designed Kindergarten – Nová Ruda in Vratislavice nad Nisou addresses the community’s need for educational and recreational spaces due to a growing population. Despite challenges posed by the north-facing slope and infrastructure routes, the chosen city-owned plot became the ideal location for this purpose. Surrounded by a mix of historic and family houses, the design integrates special configurations to engage children in understanding and appreciating architecture. The building unfolds gradually, allowing children to explore and orient themselves within a visually connected space featuring large windows and atriums. Varied activities are distributed through different building levels, creating a dynamic and interconnected environment reminiscent of a playful jungle.
