Kabelovna Studios by B² Architecture 

Kabelovna Studios, situated in the Holesovice district of Prague, inhabit a former electrical cable factory dating back to 1908, within the historic workers’ colony established in the 1870s. The studios share the industrial ambiance of the city block with a fashion designer, painter, and screen-printing production. This innovative concept blends an authentic industrial aesthetic with ample natural light from skylights and strategic glass partitions. The restored brick walls, complemented by acoustic panels and five-meter sloped ceilings, cater to modern recording studio needs. The architects emphasized the location’s character, employing a beige anhydrite floor to highlight existing textures. Spatial organization is intuitive, featuring a central “living room” with a Bomma Orbital chandelier, wooden table, and plants against black walls. Each recording studio includes a white voice-over booth, and recycled leather seats create an inspiring yet cozy atmosphere. Custom-designed neon lights echo sound waves, adding a dynamic touch to the space.
